Legendary Pokémon

Like all Pokémon games, there’s a myriad of Legendary Pokémon to collect. Some are available throughout Sinnoh while others require you to go through Ramanas Park. Like prior Pokémon games, they will return if you defeat them without capture and then beat the Elite Four

Palkia

Location: Spear Pillar

You will encounter Palkia as you progress through the story. As Team Galactic’s plan unfolds through the Sinnoh region, you will make chase to Spear Pillar where Cyrus will unleash his plans to create a new world. However, when you defeat him, Uxie, Mesprit and Azelf will appear and free Palkia, and it will then want to battle you.

Uxie

Location: Lake Acuity

After preventing the cataclysm at the Spear Pillar, you’ll now be able to visit the lakes and encounter the Pokémon. In the cave at Lake Acuity, you will find the Pokémon Uxie.

Mesprit

Location: Lake Verity, Sinnoh

After preventing the cataclysm at the Spear Pillar, you’ll now be able to visit the lakes and encounter the Pokémon. In the cave at Lake Verity, you will find the Pokémon Mesprit but it won’t battle you but rather will roam through Sinnoh to be found, being tracked by the Marking Map app on the Pokétch. Its IVs, Shiny status and Nature are determined when it leaves Lake Verity.

Azelf

Location: Lake Valor

After preventing the cataclysm at the Spear Pillar, you’ll now be able to visit the lakes and encounter the Pokémon. In the cave at Lake Valor, you will find the Pokémon Azelf.

Heatran

Location: Stark Mountain

After you get the National Dex and go to the Fight Area, you will meet Buck who says about a treasure that is to be found in Stark Mountain. When you go to Stark Mountain, you will help Buck get to the final room where he will take the Magma Stone. Return to the Survival Area and his grandfather will tell him that the Magma Stone needs to be there else the volcano will erupt so Buck goes and puts it back. If you go back to the deepest room in Stark Mountain, you will find the Legendary Pokémon Heatran.

Regigigas

Location: Snowpoint Temple

After you get the National Dex, you’ll be given access to Snowpoint Temple in the north of Snowpoint City. At the bottom floor in the middle of the ice puzzle is Regigigas, but it is sound asleep. If you bring Regirock, Regice and Registeel caught from Ramanas Park to it, it will awaken offering you the chance to catch it.

Giratina

Location: Turnback Cave

After you get the National Dex, you’ll be given access to the Sendoff Spring, a mysterious fourth lake to the east of Route 214. In this lake you will fin Turnback Cave. This cave is a winding maze that gives you instructions on the pillar. Your task is to get to the end in 30 rooms or less. The pillar gives you a specific number and that number equates to the clockwise exit you need to take on entering each room. If you follow the instructions, you will be find Giratina in its Altered Forme.

Cresselia

Location: Fullmoon Island, Roaming Sinnoh

After you get the National Dex, you’ll be told by the Sailor in Canalave that he has lost the feel for sailing since his child got sick. If you speak to the child, you will learn that he is stuck in a nightmare. You will learn that the Lunar Feather will cause him to wake up so you go with the Sailor to Fullmoon Island. There you will find Cresselia. It won’t battle you but will run away and roam Sinnoh, being tracked by the Pokétch Marking Map app. The Lunar Feather will remain. Its IVs, Shiny status and Nature are determined when it leaves Fullmoon Island.

Shaymin

Location: Flower Paradise

After you get the Oak’s Letter item in an event, you can take the item to the special white stone at the end of Route 224. Professor Oak will come and say you need to write down who you’re thankful for. When you do, a path will emerge and you can encounter the Pokémon, Shaymin. If you run away, you can return to the area to find it again.

Darkrai

Location: Newmoon Island

After you get the Member Card item in an event, once you have beaten the Elite Four and obtained the National Pokédex, you can use the Member Card to enter the locked inn in Canalave City. Sleep in the bed and you’ll be taken to Newmoon Island to encounter Darkrai

Arceus

Location: Hall of Origin

When you have save data from Pokémon Legends: Arceus and have completed all the main missions in that game, then you will be able to get the Azure Flute from your bedroom in Twinleaf Town. Take this to Spear Pillar after you have the National Pokédex and and use it to access the Hall of Origin to battle the Mythical Pokémon Arceus. If it is defeated or you run from it, you can play the Azure Flute again to re-summon it without need for defeating the Elite Four again

Mew

Location: Floaroma Town

When you reach Floaroma Town, in the bottom left hand corner is an elderly couple. If you have a Pokémon Let’s Go, Pikachu or Let’s Go, Eevee save, the elderly woman will give you a Mew.

When you reach Floaroma Town, in the bottom left hand corner is an elderly couple. If you have a Pokémon Sword or Shield save, the elderly man will give you a Jirachi.

Ramanas Park

Ramanas Park is a new area in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl. This area replaces the Pal Park and can be found on Route 221 after you have completed the Sinnoh Pokédex and is different in that there are various caves dotted around the park. These caves allow for you to get Legendary Pokémon. To do that, you need to get special slates to then put into the pedestal to summon the Pokémon.

When you put the slates in the pedestal, you get transported to the Pure Space for Sub-Legendary Pokémon and the Strange Space for Legendary Pokémon. The Legendary Pokémon will have Hidden Abilities if they have one

When you have caught the Pokémon, you will also then get given a statue of them for your Secret Base in the Grand Underground.

Discovery Room

The first area accessible is the Discovery Room with the Discovery Slates. This gives you access to Regirock, Regice, and Registeel:

Kanto Room

After you have caught Regirock, Regice and Registeel you will have access to the Kanto Slate. This will give you access to Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres:

Soul Room

After you have caught Regirock, Regice and Registeel you will have access to the Soul Slate. This will give you access to Latios or Latias. When you have caught them both, the Soul Dew will appear in the room.

Distortion Room

After you have caught Regirock, Regice and Registeel and have captured Giratina you will have access to the Distortion Slate. This will give you access to the Distortion Room, which matches the Distortion World. Here, you can’t catch Giratina but do battle a Level 100 variant of its Origin Forme. If you win, you will receive a Griseous Orb

Squall Room

After you have caught Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres you will have access to the Squall Slate. This will give you access to Lugia:

Oceanic Room

After you have Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Latias, and Latios you will have access to the Oceanic Slate. This will give you access to Kyogre. Many Berries will appear in the room after you have captured it.

Tectonic Room

After you have Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Latias, and Latios you will have access to the Tectonic Slate. This will give you access to Groudon. Many Berries will appear in the room after you have captured it.

Stratospheric Room
