Gift Pokémon

Like all Pokémon games, there’s a myriad of Pokémon you’ll find in the overworld. These Pokémon are exclusive to these methods so can only be found here, some on specific days or times.

Turtwig, Chimchar, Piplup

Location: Lake Verity

The first Pokémon you get is a choice between the Starter Pokémon. When you enter Lake Verity with Barry, you will see Professor Rowan who will quickly leave, but leaving his briefcase. When you spot the briefcase, some Starly appear and attack causing you to have to pick the Pokémon you desire.

When you go to leave Hearthome City in the bottom right, the man by the gate will ask if you’d like to take a Pokémon egg. If you say yes, you’ll get the egg which hatches into a Happiny.

Riolu

Location: Iron Island

After you have helped Riley through Iron Island to investigate what is causing the Pokémon to act violently in the area, he will ask if you’d like to take a Pokémon egg. If you say yes, you’ll get the egg which hatches into a Riolu.

Fossil Pokémon

Location: Oreburgh City
